First things first.
Dear writer/artist/friend whose eyes are on this,
The last time I sent out a newsletter was before the U.S. election, and for some of you, this is the first time we’re speaking since.
U.S.-ians and people impacted by us, how are you keeping? Do you need anything? Is there anything I can do for you? I mean this.
I wanted to remind us all, in case you, like me, needed the reminder, that all feelings belong: grief, cynicism, fear, determination, numbness, fuckitness, fury, hope. All belong in this storm.
For me, the time since the election has felt like grief and a kind of continual prayer and gratitude- all the things that make everyone I love who they are: bodies, queer and transness, disability and disability wisdom, that we have family who emigrated, Blackness, Indigeneity, the richness of our backgrounds, being-artists, defiance of empire, the precarity of our ecosystems, and so many more things besides, all of it feels like the most precious gift. On my best days, in y/our existence alone, I see a better futurity. Then I have days when it all feels like too much, and on those days, I see you and others out there, writing books, making witchy markets appear as if out of thin air, singing hymns of love, creating structures of care.
Normally, I like to share something I’m excited about. Instead, below I have shared some things that have kept me going. Write back if you wanna share yours, especially if you wrote or made a thing in resistance and love since November or before, so I can get back to sharing them.

The Voyage is a year-long adventure for writers and writing-based artists who want community and encouragement and to finish their (****)Ing Projects. The Voyage is my biggest offering in 2025, and it's YEARS in the making.
Imagine joining a virtual spaceship of community, support, accountability, and collective dreaming.
6-12 Writers and Writing-Based artists (ie, graphic novelists, screenwriters, visual artists with a writing practice) will commit together to work on their primary project and level up their practice for a whole year, WITH:

✨ Weekly write-ins
🚀 Being always part of a crew!: Dancing, celebrating, applying to things, sending our work out into the world, and of course WRITING, navigating the year together with kindness, encouragement, and celebration
